Keyboardingis a mandatory class at PVHS for several reasons, most importantly because this is the time in your life when your fine motor skills are more developed than when you were in elementary or middle school.
Course Objective: You will demonstrate correct keyboarding techniques while increasing speed and maintaining accuracy, over time.
Keyboarding takes time and focus. It really depends on you, the individual student, how much time and practice is needed to master touch typing. We will focus on:1st -Technique* 2nd -Accuracy * 3rd -Speed The memory for keyboarding is in the finger muscles, similar to riding a bike. Once your fingers learn the keyboard they will not forget, just like your legs pedaling a bike. Remember to be patient with yourself! This is why it is important to sit up straight, keep your feet on the floor and your fingers approaching the keyboard the same way everyday.Education World, Linda Starhttp://www.educationworld.com/a_tech/tech/tech072.shtml Important Links, Notes and Documents
